From 10 to 14 November, ACDI participated in the American Evaluation Association Conference, Evaluation 2025, held in Kansas City under the theme Engaging Community, Sharing Leadership. The conference convened more than two thousand evaluators, researchers, and policymakers from across the globe, creating a dynamic platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration in the field of evaluation.
We were proud to represent Africa as the only Africa-based organisation exhibiting at this year’s conference. At our exhibition booth, we highlighted our expanding footprint across the continent and beyond, and shared how we co-create rigorous, policy-relevant evidence through strong partnerships between researchers and policymakers. This collaborative model continues to shape our work to strengthen evidence ecosystems and support meaningful development outcomes across Africa.
Throughout the week, we engaged with a diverse network of evaluation professionals and thought leaders, exchanging insights and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. A particularly significant moment was connecting with African evaluators in the diaspora to discuss practical pathways for co-producing knowledge and elevating Africa’s leadership within the global evaluation community.
We return encouraged and energised, with renewed commitment to advancing evidence-informed decision-making for sustainable development across the continent.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the American Evaluation Association for convening such a vibrant and inclusive space, and to the many colleagues and partners who visited our booth, shared ideas, and initiated new collaborations. Progress in development impact is strengthened when we work together.
